1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this QCP is to ensure that all works regarding conduit installation system for instrumentation and electrical works rigid galvanized, PVC pipe, EMT conduit and their fittings shall be done in accordance with the ARAMCO standards and all other applicable international codes and standards.
2. SCOPE
The scope covers the step to be followed for the installation of conduit installation system for electrical and instrumentation works intended for permanent installation in the plant.
GAC E&I QC inspector ensure that the construction method of procedures is adhered to the ARAMCO standard with reference to approved project specifications.

5. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
5.1. All personnel involved in the activities shall wear complete personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with safe work requirements.
5.2. Conduct job safety talk before starting the work.
5.3. Conduit field offset or bend will be done as per approved field method.
5.4. Pace barricade and warning sign boards in applicable locations. Restrict personnel / equipment entering the work area
5.5. Check adequacy and availability of all tools and equipment for erection and installation activities, before commencement of erection activity
6. QA/QC REQUIREMENTS
6.1. The quality control program shall be as per (SAES) Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards.
6.2. The detailed inspection stages and methods shall be as per the approved inspection and test plan.
6.3. All installed Electrical and instrumentation conduit shall be inspected for elevation and routine as per IFC
6.4. Inspection and test plan must be submitted ahead of time for SAPMT, SAPID and TECNICAS RHEUNIDAS.
7. METHOD OF PREPARATION
7.1. Check whether the area is ready for the conduit to be laid. Either it is underground or under slab and overhead installation.
7.2. For Non-Metallic conduit and fittings joining recommended approved PVC cement and cleaner.
7.3. Underground conduit shall be laid in excavated trench, clear from stone debris. Conduit under road should comply SAES-P-104 Table 2.
7.4. Ensure pipe ends, adapter ends shall be sealed properly.
7.5. Installing conduit pipes in hazardous location should be RGS as per SAES-P-104 paragraph 8.2
7.6. Horizontal and vertical run of conduit must be supported approved material as per ARAMCO standard. The interval of support must be provided not exceed 2.4 meter.
7.7. Flexible liquid tight conduits shall not smaller than 12mm or larger than 102mm.
7.8. Conduit shall not be installed behind the ladder rungs or platform levels in such manner as may cause false insecure step or used as step.
7.9. Final inspection by Electrical / Instrumentation QC.

8.1. All inspection reports shall be filed at QA/QC Department.
